Despite the fact that this should be something peppermint or something calorie-laden, it’s a smoothie. Womp. But this is just to counteract the deliciousness to come.
I have this problem that I never have EVERYTHING I need from the grocery store at the same time. Like, I’ll go when I have 1/2 a carton of milk left, and then I’ll run out of milk (or yogurt, or eggs, or whatever) before I need to go back to the store. Hence, smoothie this morning instead of the regular oatmeal.
I have been a lazy bum this week. I haven’t seen the inside of the gym in at least a week, and I have eaten more dessert than I care to share. Join me? Smoothie and a gym date? Because trust me, you’ll want to have burned off some pre-stuff-your-face-with-everything-pepermint-that-I-am-about-to-post-on-this-blog-calories.
Speaking of, need some “whole body” workout ideas? I know I need a mini-whole body workout since I have skipped an entire week. I’ll make this quick, but hey, it’s “Skinny” Muffin for a reason, eh? After your smoothie, head to the gym or grab some weights and do:
3 x 20 squats
4 x 20 lunges (2 sets/leg)
3 x 20 pushups
3 x 12 tricep dips (off chair of in gym)
4 x 10 overhead dumbbell press
4 x 15 one-arm rows (2/side)
3 x 15 dumbbell curls
2 x 1min. plank
25 Russian twists
25 double leg lowering exercises
Or, if you want something more intense, you can always do this one. A personal masochistic fave.
Banana Berry Smoothie
2/3 c frozen mixed berries
1/3 c plain Greek yogurt
1/3 c water (or juice or milk!)
