Today I get spinal injections.
If you’ve followed this blog for the last 8 months, you’ve probably heard me complaining about back pain. Between the difficulties about pants and the frustrations of not being able to workout, you’re probably ready for a change. I’m hoping that after [at least] 2 probably horrifically painful injections, this will put an end to my misery.
Optimism, people. That I’ll only need ONE round of injections and then I will be able to WORKOUT and be fit and happy again.
Wait, so what does this have to do with cocoa? We all know it. I’m a girl. And not just any girl, but a chocoholic. And when there is something crazy stressful and uncontrollable, it calls for chocolate. So, let’s have a brownie-in-a-mug to ward off the terror and pain of injections. Bring on the upcoming workouts [hopefully], but first, some chocolate.
Brownie in a Mug
Adapted slightly from GOpromos
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 c white whole wheat flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder
2 tbsp canola oil
3 tbsp plain soymilk
1. Combine dry ingredients in a mug, then add wet ingredients.
2. Microwave for 1 min 40 seconds.
3. Top with whip cream.
