Now, I know this is a food blog, but can we get fitnessy for a second?
I like to workout. Scratch that. I love it. I’m addicted. Obsessed. Cycling, kickboxing, weight lifting, yoga, the stairmaster, rowing… you name it, I’ll do it. Gladly. Get some rap blaring in my ears and a workout routine on a scrap of paper in my hands, and I’m a happy gal.
Between the knee injuries and the current back injury, it’s been a while. And I get cranky without my daily sweat.
For the meantime, I’m doing a “30 for 30” challenge with some friends. It’s 30 days of 30 pushups, 30 squats, and 30 crunches. Break it up into 3 sets of 10 throughout the day if you want. Do the pushups on your knees, or do 10 regular, 10 diamond, and 10 wide. Do mini squats or deep squats. Whatever you can and whatever you want. I’m doing baby squats due to my crazy back but it’s still 30 and those glutes are still working!
