Today begins Detox Day 3. And I’d rather die than eat more broccoli soup or anything that doesn’t have carbs in it. Give me pasta. And cupcakes. And oatmeal. Yes, I actually DREAMED about cupcakes last night. Now that is a craving.
I’m just about to kick the bucket. I’m giving it through today to see but so far I have been nothing but a witch on her broom with a hungry belly. Nothing about that sentence is a good thing.
The thing is… my diet pretty much is a detox. Vegetarian? I mean, let’s be real. If I could cut out the Moscato and Girl Scout cookies, my diet would be pretty much ideal. So if it falls through, so is life. I will definitely try the recipes throughout my cooking experience, and have even liked some, but if I am a cranky woman for the next 3 weeks, I will have no friends and probably no boyfriend.
Also: I got a job! At a restaurant. Which means that I will be trying their food (part of the training), so that also makes detoxing difficult. We shall see, but the constant hunger pains, tiredness, and headaches are not exactly my idea of a “feel good detox.”
