World Vegetarian Day

Oh hey there. Do you what today is? Besides the first day of October and 8 days before my birthday, it’s WORLD VEGETARIAN DAY!!

Now, why would anyone want to be a vegetarian? Right? Well, let me just tell you a couple fun facts about being a vegetarian. Or even adopting a semi-vegetarian (“flexitarian”) lifestyle:

– Every single vegetarian spares the lives of over 50 animals per year.

– If you went vegetarian for just one day a week, you could save 7700 square feet of rain forest, 245 pounds of grain, and 84,000 gallons of water, among other things.

Consider the Meatless Monday trend. Here are some of my favorite vegetarian recipes:
