Vanilla Chai Oatmeal

Okay, so we all know I’m a breakfast person, right? Let’s be real 70% of my recipes are breakfast related. Pancakes, granola, muffins

What you don’t see is that I eat oatmeal 6 days out of the week. It’s true. I love it. Love love love it. That whole overnight oatmeal trend that’s happening right now? It’s the real deal, people.

Just put liquid and oats together and whatever mix-ins your little heart desires and voilá! You have oatmeal in the morning.

I’ve seen it on Pinterest and my friend was talking about it the other day – chai-infused oatmeal. Hellooooo, happiness. I adore chai tea. It has just enough spices in it to amp up your day. So, instead of using the regular milk in my oats, I used vanilla chai tea. Fancy fancy.

Vanilla Chai Oatmeal
Adapted from Vegan Yack Attack

1/2 c old-fashioned oats
1/2 c brewed vanilla chai tea (strong)
1/8 c almonds
1 tbsp maple syrup
1/8 c blueberries

Combine all except blueberries. In the morning, microwave 45-60 seconds and then add blueberries.
