Detox.

Have you ever done a detox? Like, a food detox? Not a bubble bath. And not a not-drinking-for-one-month detox. A full-on detox.

I’ve always wanted to aaand I’ve decided to do it today.

This is the schedule:

7am – Large glass of water with lemon juice and a dash of cayenne.
8am – Green smoothie: 1 banana, few handfuls of spinach, soymilk, ice, cinnamon
10am – Herbal tea, 1 cup grapes
11am – Large glass water with lemon
12pm – Large green salad with sliced veggies, 1/4 c walnuts, olive oil and fresh lemon juice dressing; 1 cup brown rice.
2pm – Large glass water with lemon; hummus with veggies.
4pm – Herbal tea, 15 raw almonds.
6pm – 1/2 c quinoa, 1/2 c lentils, 2 c mildly steamed veggies
8pm – Chamomile tea.

On the post, it says “bonus points awarded for exercise, meditation, laughter and writing in a journal.” That makes me happy. I’m going to do all those things.

I feel like it’s good to cleanse my body, even if it’s for just one day. I want to do a 3 day one sometime but not right now. Probably in the summer when there is a ton of delicious, fresh fruit. Yumm. Can’t. Wait.
