Last night, I learned something new.
I can’t ice skate.
I stepped out onto the ice, holding onto the rail for dear life. Seeing a girl to the right, at the edge of the entrance to the ice, I grabbed for her, assuming it was my roommate.
It was some 12-year-old girl who luckily accepted my sincere apology as I continued to hold onto her until I could let go and reach for my roommate.
Basically, I was grabbing onto anyone’s hand for balance and steadiness, including my roommate’s boyfriend. I’m sure he loved that.
The funny thing is that I used to take lessons. Yes, I took ice skating lessons as a child. You’d never know it. Especially since I practically broke the hand of everyone I was skating with.
