So. Stress. I realize that I am able to manage my stress a lot better than I could two years ago. Some people do yoga. Others people shop for clothes and shoes. Some get massages. Others resort to illegal substances.
I, however, like to start off my day right. A little me time. Can we just talk about how epic my mornings are? Even at 7am, when it is still dark and the tile is cold and my roommate is fast asleep, I can make the best of it. You know how you want to climb back in bed right after you get out? Back in the warm spot where you’ve been sleeping all night?
That’s exactly what I do. I get up, heat my oatmeal, and crawl right back in bed.
Then, I read blogs. Probably a few too many blogs… Blogs like Joy the Baker, How Sweet It Is, Greatist, Healthy Living, and Nutrition Nut on the Run. It is the perfect 20-30 minutes for me to have an in-between of sleeping in my perfect bed and being alive, awake, alert and enthusiastic about the Biomechanics class that is about to rock my world. In the bad way.
Make your mornings better. Eat breakfast in bed. Seriously. It’s worth it.

Orange wedges from 1 orange
Handful of walnuts
1 tbsp olive oil
Pinch of sugar
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp lemon juice
Red pepper flakes
